First Birthday Session with Cake Smash:

A first birthday session with a cake smash is so much fun! How time flies–it seems it was only a few short months ago that we did this little cutie’s newborn session. The three milestone sessions you should always capture are of course newborn, then sitter session (6 through 10 months) and then the first birthday session. This little sweetie is almost a year old and ready to have her first taste of a scrumptious cake. A first birthday session with a cake smash is always a lot of fun for everyone. Having the little one all dressed up for the session and watching them look around at the set–all the balloons and other decorations–gets them so excited and ready to touch and play with everything. For this little lady we did a mermaid theme cake smash session, and she had a great time playing with all the sea shells! She was so thrilled with being the center of attention and certainly flashed plenty of smiles for the camera. We couldn’t have asked for a better session. When the cake came out, this little lady took the cake topper right off and started digging in! Her first taste of the cake, and she was hooked. She grabbed the cake and stuffed it into her mouth and was relishing every bite. We let her go to her heart’s content until it was apparent she wasn’t going to stop eating cake on her own.

Birthday Cake Smash Themes:

Sweet C Photography has many themes for a cake smash session two mermaid sets–this one and one that has a bit more glitter. We also have a unicorn set and an elegant pink and gold set. For boys we have also have a variety of sets including green and blue banners and balloons, pirate party, surfing and fishing among others. During warm weather months, we can do an outdoor session with balloons, banners, cake or watermelon. Given enough time, we can accommodate just about any theme you would like for your baby’s first birthday party.
