Little Mermaid Lea Island

This mermaid beach session took place on a beautiful Saturday evening on Lea Island, North Carolina.  This sweet little girl was so very excited for her mermaid beach session and could not wait to get her picture taken in her mermaid costume.  Young girls may watch movies or read books about mermaids and then dream of what it would be like to be a mermaid for a day.  Some famous mermaids include Ariel in the little mermaid… Then there was a mermaid princess in Thai mythology named Suvannamaccha who tries to spoil a plan of a person called Hanuman to build a bridge. Then there is Princess Shirahoshi, who is one of the mermaids guarding the four “prisoners” in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.  Some little girls don’t have a favorite but long to be a goddess of the sea nonetheless.  There is nothing more exciting than transforming into a mermaid on a real beach, sitting on real driftwood or rocks with real sea shells and ocean water around her–whether it is on Topsail Island, Lea Island, Wrightsville Beach or Fort Fisher.  For the little girls who want to be a mermaid for a day for their winter birthday, Sweet C Photography offers a studio mermaid sessions with a beautiful nautical setup for birthdays with an optional cake smash with an adorable mermaid tail cake topper.
