If your senior is vacationing with you on Topsail this summer, why not hire a Topsail Island senior photographer to do your high school senior’s pictures? Topsail has some wonderful places to capture beautiful images of your senior– whether it be on Topsail Beach or North Topsail. There are piers which make for a wonderful backdrop, and add depth and structure to the images. There are some wonderful dunes and of course the beautiful turquoise water as a backdrop. I try to capture the personality of the senior I am photographing to accentuate their persona in the images whether that is bold and edgy or soft and pretty.

What to Wear:

I encourage up to three wardrobe changes to capture different looks. The first outfit should be a casual style. The second outfit a more formal look. And the third outfit should be centered around your personality, such as a sport, hobby or interest. For those senior girls who do not normally wear makeup, I suggest light foundation, mascara, blush and a little lipstick add a little color to your senior’s complexion. For those teens who worry about hiding acne, I can easily remove blemishes during the editing process of the images.

There tends to be a breeze most summer evenings, and I try my best to work with the direction of the breeze for the most flattering images. I like to do a variety of poses– standing, sitting, lying down–some by the dunes, some in front of the pier and some with the gorgeous turquoise water as a backdrop. I always try and guide the senior into flattering poses, and urge clients to give me some ideas as well.
