My name is Cathy, and I feel the same way the great photographer, artist, painter, Edward Steichen, felt more than fifty years ago. Whether it is getting up early to photograph a breathtaking sunrise, capturing a flock of pelicans gliding over the ocean, catching a brilliant smile of a child or photographing the anticipatory glow of an expecting mother--I love all facets of photography and am passionate about making the photograph a work of art.

I am fortunate enough to live in a beautiful area of the North Carolina coast with an amazing unspoiled barrier island with pristine dunes and turquoise water alive with dolphins, pelicans and many other beautiful creatures. This private area makes a gorgeous backdrop for all portrait photography including couples, families (with or without their pets), and high school seniors.

In addition to the beautiful outdoor surroundings, my studio is my creative space where I can manipulate the light to create dramatic and beautiful portraits. It is a very safe and private space to photography maternity and newborn portraits as well an a great space for senior portraits and headshots.
