One Year Old Birthday Celebration

Capturing your baby’s first year milestones with professional portraits is an investment you will never regret!  Their first session as a newborn when they are so tiny and sleepy with all their little rolls–many times still bruised with flaky skin–these are all details that you want to remember forever. Some parents like to have both the before and after edited images so they remember the red marks and flaky skin.  Some parents are only interested in the edited version of their sweet little one so perfect with the tiny little feet and hands.  During the first year they grow and change so quickly.  Some parents like to have a 3 month old milestones session.  At this age they can hold up their head, but they can’t sit up, so I prop them up on pillows, lie them on their back or put them in a basket or crate.  At three months they have some hand-eye coordination and we can capture some beautiful images.  When I see a baby again for their sitter session (six to nine months) they are sitting up, easily engaged with bubbles or or other props and so adorable!  This is my favorite age to photograph a baby and a milestone session you definitely want!  The smiles usually are abundant, and they are so much fun to watch and capture all their different expressions.  I like to get simple pictures of them first with only a diaper cover to remember all their pudgy little rolls at this age.  At the sitter session, I also like to put them in a pretty dress or tutu or for a boy a cute outfit.  You also want a beautiful portrait of baby’s first Christmas in their adorable little outfit no matter how old they are during Christmastime.  Of course the grand finale of the first year is the first birthday/cake smash milestone session.  This is quite the spectacle when the one year old is more mobile, can move around and has his or her first taste of yummy birthday cake!  The session usually starts out capturing the little one in a cute outfit with a festive backdrop with balloons, banners, pompoms, and other props.  For little boys, we can make a birthday set pirate theme,beach party, fishing or surfing. We also have a Greatest Showman set for the aspiring actors, actresses and dancers!
