Beach Maternity Session

This gorgeous mom-to-be wanted a pre-sunrise session on the beach of Fort Fisher for her maternity session.  I usually do my sessions on Lea Island or Topsail Island, so I was looking forward to shooting at a different location.  Lea Island has spectacular dunes as a backdrop, but Fort Fisher has a spectacular rocky shoreline which makes for a beautiful backdrop.  When the couple arrived, we started shooting right away and got some beautiful images before the sun rose out of the ocean.  That twilight light was just perfect, especially with a little off camera flash added to light this beautiful couple.  This is the first baby for this couple, they are so excited for the arrival of their little boy, and the love they have for each other shows in the images.  The look of love in their eyes for one another is apparent in many of the images and will be memories of this special time captured in a beautiful portrait they will have forever to look back on.  During this session, we were able to get images in a few different locations–on the rocks, on the sandy shore, by the gazebo, in front of the beautiful trees and along the stone wall with the waves crashing in the background.  Fort Fisher was such a beautiful location for this couple’s maternity session.  The beauty of this location was the perfect backdrop for this sweet and gorgeous couple anxiously awaiting the most precious gift that is due to arrive in a few short weeks.  What made this session even more special is the dad-to-be is a member of our military, and Sweet C Photography loves our armed forces and gladly gives a discount!
