A wonderful time was had by all for this Family Photography Session Lea Island!  This family, except for the grandma, came from Utah to enjoy the quiet beauty of Lea Island on a weekday evening in July.  One of the nice things about a family photography session on Lea Island during the week is that there is plenty of privacy as there is usually no one or very few people on the beach.  Children get to explore the island, except for the bird nesting area, and its great having the place to yourself.  The dunes are stunningly beautiful as are the views of South Topsail across the New Topsail Inlet.  Sunsets are spectacular on Lea Island as there are no houses to obstruct the setting sun.  Capturing families with the sun setting behind is majestic–whether there is not a cloud in the sky or plenty of storm clouds on the horizon.  What I love to do with family sessions is let the children play near the water and capture some candid images of them having fun in the sand and surf.  When the sun begins to get low we walk over to the dunes and start shooting sunset images until the sun actually is right beside them.  The soft and beautiful light accompanied with a little fill flash makes for gorgeous images that a family will treasure forever.  If you are vacationing in the area or a local who wants some special family beach images, contact me for more information.  For more information about Lea Island, read this wonderful articlehttp://www.wrightsvillebeachmagazine.com/article.asp?iid=164&aid=1327
